All gates at Delhi Metro stations have been reopened following a comprehensive security review, officials said.
Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) announced that every entry and exit gate across its network in the capital has been reopened after completing a thorough security assessment. The review, conducted over the past few days, aimed to verify the integrity of surveillance systems, metal detectors and crowd‑control measures.
The temporary closure of gates earlier this week had caused inconvenience for commuters, but DMRC officials assured that no safety compromise was identified and normal operations resumed at 6 a.m. today. Staff were redeployed to monitor passenger flow and ensure smooth movement during peak hours.
Commuters are being advised to follow standard security protocols, including bag checks and adherence to social distancing guidelines where applicable. The agency will continue periodic audits to maintain high safety standards across the metro system.
