Delhi Man Allegedly Kills Wife Six Months After Marriage, Ingests Poison

Delhi police have arrested a man accused of murdering his wife, whom he married six months ago, and then consuming a poisonous substance.
Police officials in Delhi said a 30‑year‑old man was taken into custody on suspicion of killing his wife, whom he had married half a year earlier. The couple was reported missing after neighbors heard a disturbance at their residence in South Delhi.
Investigators recovered a bottle of an unidentified toxic liquid from the scene, which the suspect allegedly drank after the alleged homicide. Forensic teams are conducting toxicology tests to confirm the nature of the poison and its presence in the victim's and suspect's bodies.
The Delhi Police Crime Branch has opened a murder case under Section 302 of the Indian Penal Code and is probing possible motives, including financial disputes. The suspect remains in judicial custody pending further interrogation, and the case is being forwarded to the court for trial.
