The cost of a 19‑kg commercial LPG cylinder in Delhi has been increased by Rs 62.50, taking the new price to Rs 2,810.

The Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas announced a hike in the commercial LPG tariff for Delhi, raising the price of a 19‑kg cylinder by Rs 62.50. Effective immediately, the cylinder will cost Rs 2,810, up from Rs 2,747.50.

Small and medium‑size enterprises that rely on LPG for cooking and heating will see a marginal increase in operating costs. Industry bodies have warned that the added expense could tighten margins for food‑service outlets and other commercial users.

The adjustment follows the periodic review mechanism that aligns domestic LPG rates with fluctuations in global crude oil prices. While residential LPG prices remain unchanged, the commercial segment often experiences separate revisions to reflect its higher consumption patterns.

Analysts note that the increase, though modest, underscores the pressure on energy‑intensive businesses as the government balances subsidy reforms with market realities.
