Delhi CM orders night cleaning of markets and colonies for festive season

Delhi's Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal issued an order for municipal corporations to intensify cleaning operations after sunset in commercial markets and residential colonies as the city approaches the festive season. The directive aims to maintain hygiene standards, prevent litter accumulation, and ensure a pleasant environment for shoppers and residents during high‑traffic celebrations. Officials are instructed to deploy additional cleaning crews, use appropriate equipment, and coordinate with local ward officers to cover all major market areas and densely populated neighborhoods. The move reflects the administration's focus on civic cleanliness ahead of major festivals that draw large crowds across the capital. Authorities will monitor compliance and report progress to the CM's office on a weekly basis.
