The Delhi Chief Minister distributed bicycles to 1,400 girl students in a launch of the Vidya Vahini programme aimed at supporting female education.
Delhi's Chief Minister presided over a ceremony in the capital where bicycles were handed to 1,400 girl students as part of the Vidya Vahini initiative. The distribution took place at a designated school venue, with the CM personally presenting the bicycles to the beneficiaries.
The Vidya Vahini scheme seeks to remove mobility barriers that often hinder girls from attending school regularly. By providing bicycles, the programme aims to improve attendance, reduce dropout rates and encourage continued education among young women.
State officials highlighted that the initiative aligns with broader government efforts to promote gender equity in education. The distribution is expected to set a precedent for similar interventions in other districts.
