Delhi Assembly to Get New Security Perimeter with Eight Watchtowers After Bomb Threats

In response to recent bomb threats, Delhi’s legislative assembly is installing a new security perimeter featuring eight watchtowers and a CRPF patrol route.
Delhi’s Vidhan Sabha premises are set to receive a reinforced security perimeter following a series of bomb threats and related incidents. The plan includes the erection of eight watchtowers around the complex to provide 360‑degree surveillance. In addition, a dedicated patrol route for the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) has been mapped to ensure rapid response to any potential threat. Officials say the new measures aim to safeguard lawmakers, staff and visitors during legislative sessions.
