Data centre in Patna has been inaugurated by cloud provider CtrlS, which announced a Rs 10,000 crore investment to develop an artificial‑intelligence hub in Bihar.
Patna witnessed the inauguration of a new data centre operated by the cloud services firm CtrlS. The facility, located in the state capital, is expected to bolster the region’s digital infrastructure and provide high‑speed connectivity for enterprises.
Alongside the launch, CtrlS disclosed a massive Rs 10,000 crore commitment to create an artificial‑intelligence hub in Bihar. The investment will fund the construction of specialised labs, training centres and incubation spaces aimed at nurturing AI startups and research.
State officials have highlighted the project as a catalyst for job creation and skill development, aligning with Bihar’s broader push to attract technology investments. The AI hub is projected to generate thousands of direct and indirect employment opportunities over the next few years.
Industry analysts view the move as a significant step toward positioning Bihar as a competitive destination for high‑tech ventures in eastern India, potentially drawing further private and public funding into the sector.
