Congress leader in Dotasra called on party workers to rally behind any candidate who receives the party ticket and to collectively challenge the BJP in the upcoming panchayat polls.
A senior Congress figure in the village of Dotasra appealed to party cadres as the local panchayat elections approach, urging them to set aside personal preferences and back the official party nominee.
He emphasized that unity is essential to counter the growing influence of the BJP in the region and asked workers to support whichever candidate secures the Congress ticket.
The call comes at a time when grassroots contests are seen as a barometer for broader state‑level political trends, and party officials hope a consolidated front will improve their chances of retaining control of local bodies.
Analysts note that a cohesive campaign could also impact voter sentiment ahead of upcoming state elections, making the Dotasra rally a noteworthy indicator of party morale.
Congress members in the area have pledged to follow the directive, signaling a coordinated effort to present a united front against rival candidates.
