Congress to Roll Out Grassroots Drive Against Exam Paper Leaks and ‘Chanda Chori’

The Indian National Congress has unveiled plans to launch a grassroots movement targeting the persistent problem of examination paper leaks across the country. Party officials said the initiative will mobilise volunteers at the local level to monitor examination centres, report irregularities and raise public awareness about the illegal trade of leaked question papers.

In parallel, the campaign will address what the party describes as ‘chanda chori’ – the diversion of funds meant for public welfare schemes. The Congress leadership intends to set up citizen committees to audit the flow of money in welfare programmes and to flag any suspicious transactions.

The party has scheduled a series of meetings with local activists, teachers and community leaders in the coming weeks to outline the operational framework of the drive. While no specific timeline has been disclosed, the Congress has emphasized that the effort will be coordinated with state authorities where possible, aiming to restore confidence in the education system and public finance management.
