Pawan Khera, Congress spokesperson, hit back at Amit Shah's claim that the party spreads lies, calling the remark baseless and politically motivated. He defended Congress's position ahead of the Gujarat assembly elections.
The exchange took place amid campaigning for the upcoming Gujarat assembly elections, when Amit Shah used the phrase 'Jhooth Ki Goonj' to criticise the Congress party's messaging.
Responding to the remark, Pawan Khera said the accusation was baseless and rejected the claim that his party spreads lies.
He reiterated Congress's commitment to honest politics and urged voters to focus on the party's promises for Gujarat's development.
Khera added that such rhetoric should not overshadow the real issues facing the state.
