Congress leaders in Maharashtra ridiculed the security arrangements for veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan, focusing on the use of bullet‑proof glass and its justification.
During a recent gathering in Maharashtra, senior Congress representatives publicly questioned the security provisions made for film legend Amitabh Bachchan. Their criticism centered on the deployment of bullet‑proof glass, which they described as excessive and costly.
The party’s remarks highlighted broader concerns over the allocation of resources for high‑profile individuals, suggesting that such measures may not be proportionate to the actual threat level. No official response from the security agencies or the actor’s representatives was recorded at the time.
Political analysts noted that the episode reflects ongoing tensions between opposition parties and the state government over public‑funded security expenditures. The debate is expected to continue as the Congress seeks to hold the administration accountable for what it calls unnecessary spending.
The issue has drawn attention from the public and media alike, prompting discussions on how best to balance safety needs with fiscal prudence for prominent personalities in the state.
