Collegium Nominates Gujarat, Delhi, Telangana High Court Chief Justices for Supreme Court Seats

The Supreme Court collegium has put forward the chief justices of the Gujarat, Delhi and Telangana High Courts for consideration as judges of the apex court. The recommendation, reported by The Tribune, reflects the collegium's routine exercise of identifying senior judges for elevation.

Under the collegium system, the senior judges of the Supreme Court deliberate and forward names to the government, which then seeks the President's assent. The three chief justices highlighted are among the most senior members of their respective high courts, making them eligible for elevation.
