Coastal Region Launches Free Women’s Cricket Camps to Uncover Rural Talent
Sports bodies in the coastal area have announced free training camps and local tournaments to nurture hidden cricket talent among rural girls.
Sports organizations in the coastal region have announced a series of free training camps and local tournaments aimed at encouraging women's cricket among rural girls.
The initiative, which will be held across several villages, offers coaching sessions, equipment provision, and competitive matches to identify and develop talent that has remained largely untapped.
Officials say the program will help bridge the gap between rural and urban sports infrastructure, giving young women a platform to showcase skills and potentially progress to higher levels.
The camps are scheduled to run over the next few months, with the first batch of trainees expected to begin training in early September.
