CNN-News18 revealed the shortlist of entertainment personalities nominated for its Indian of the Year 2026 awards, marking the first major rollout of the ceremony’s categories.
CNN-News18, the media partner of the Indian of the Year awards, released the list of nominees in the entertainment segment for the 2026 edition on Monday. The announcement, reported by Indian Television Dot Com, comes ahead of the gala event scheduled later this year, where winners across multiple fields will be honoured.
The entertainment category, a highlight of the awards, features prominent actors, singers, directors and other creative professionals who have made a significant impact on Indian popular culture over the past year. While the full roster of nominees has not been disclosed in this brief, the release signals the start of the voting and promotional phase that will culminate in the final ceremony.
Organisers indicated that the shortlist reflects a blend of mainstream and emerging talent, aiming to capture the diversity of the country's entertainment industry. The nominees will be evaluated by a panel of industry experts and the public, with the winner to be announced at the Indian of the Year 2026 awards gala.
The Indian of the Year awards, now in its sixth edition, continue to recognize excellence across a wide range of sectors, from sports and business to arts and social service. The entertainment nominees are expected to draw considerable media attention as the event approaches.
