A helicopter carrying the Chief Minister was parked on an athletics track in Gurgaon, forcing local Haryana athletes to suspend their training sessions.
Gurgaon, Haryana – Early on Monday, a helicopter bearing the Chief Minister was positioned on the main athletics track at a sports complex in Gurgaon. The aircraft occupied the lane used for sprint and field drills, leaving no space for athletes to continue their scheduled sessions.
The unexpected presence of the chopper forced coaches to call off the day’s training, disrupting preparation for upcoming state and national competitions. Athletes from various Haryana sports academies reported frustration, noting that the track is a limited resource in the region.
Officials from the sports authority confirmed that the helicopter was parked temporarily for a security check related to the minister's visit, but did not provide a timeline for its removal. They assured that the track would be cleared as soon as possible to resume normal training.
The incident highlights the challenges of balancing high‑profile political movements with the needs of local sports infrastructure, especially in rapidly developing urban areas like Gurgaon.
