Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu opened a newly constructed Sub‑Divisional Magistrate office in Dadasiba and announced a welfare blitz for the area.
Dadasiba, a town in Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh, received a new Sub‑Divisional Magistrate (SDM) office on Thursday. The building, constructed to improve local administrative reach, was officially inaugurated by Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu. During the ceremony, the CM highlighted the government's focus on decentralised governance and faster delivery of services to citizens.
The inauguration formed part of a broader welfare blitz announced by the state government, aimed at addressing health, education and livelihood concerns in remote hill areas. Officials said the new office will house a range of citizen‑centric services, reducing the need for residents to travel to distant district centres.
Local leaders and residents welcomed the development, noting that the presence of an SDM office will streamline grievance redressal and boost implementation of state schemes. The government plans to monitor the impact of the welfare drive over the coming months.
