Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav will inaugurate the foundation stone of a new Panchayatana temple in Omkareshwar, featuring 121 kalash and 100 intricately carved pillars.
On Thursday, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav is scheduled to lay the foundation stone of a Panchayatana temple in the historic town of Omkareshwar, a major pilgrimage centre on the banks of the Narmada River.
The temple’s design is notable for its 121 kalash – traditional finial pots – and a hundred pillars that will be intricately carved, elements that are expected to give the structure a distinctive visual identity.
State officials say the project is intended to boost both the spiritual ambience and the tourism appeal of the region, complementing ongoing efforts to promote Madhya Pradesh’s cultural heritage.
The shilanyas ceremony will be attended by local dignitaries and devotees, after which construction work on the temple will commence.
