CM Bhagwant Mann to review anti-drug campaign in Firozpur with senior officials

Punjab's chief minister, Bhagwant Mann, convened a high‑level meeting in Firozpur to evaluate the ongoing anti‑drug operation across the state. The session brought together senior law‑enforcement leaders, including the SSPs, DSPs, and district administrators such as DCs and SDMs from every district.

The agenda focused on measuring the impact of the "Yudh Nasha" campaign, identifying hotspots, and tightening enforcement actions against illicit narcotics trade. Officials are expected to present data on seizures, arrests, and rehabilitation initiatives undertaken since the campaign’s launch.

Mann emphasized the government's resolve to curb drug abuse, which he described as a threat to youth and public safety. He urged the attending officers to intensify coordination, share intelligence, and ensure swift administrative action against offenders. The meeting is part of a broader state effort to curb substance abuse ahead of upcoming elections.
