Abhijit Dipke, founder of the Cockroach Janata Party, was taken into custody inside an aircraft at Delhi’s IGI Airport, along with party members Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka.
Delhi police detained Abhijit Dipke, the founder of the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP), while he was inside an aircraft at the Indira Gandhi International Airport. The arrest took place on the tarmac after airport security officials reported his presence in the cabin without a valid boarding pass.
Along with Dipke, two other CJP activists, Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka, were also taken into custody. Both men were identified by police as senior members of the party who were traveling together with Dipke.
The incident has drawn attention to the party’s recent protests at the airport, where members were seen standing with folded hands inside the aircraft. Police said the detentions were carried out in accordance with aviation security regulations and that further investigation is underway.
