A new agricultural hub will be established in Arunachal Pradesh to provide skill training for local farmers, announced by Chief Minister Pema Khandu.
Chief Minister Pema Khandu revealed plans for a dedicated farm hub aimed at upskilling farmers across Arunachal Pradesh. The centre will focus on imparting modern agricultural practices, post‑harvest management and market linkage skills to improve farm productivity.
The state government said the hub will be managed by the Department of Agriculture and will collaborate with agricultural universities and extension agencies. Training modules are expected to cover climate‑smart techniques, organic farming and the use of digital tools for farm management.
Officials anticipate that the initiative will boost incomes for small and marginal farmers, reduce reliance on traditional methods, and contribute to the state's broader goal of achieving food security and sustainable rural livelihoods.
Details on the exact location, rollout schedule and funding allocations were not disclosed at the press briefing, but the project is slated to commence later this year.
