Following recent heavy rains, farmers in Haveri, Gadag and Dharwad districts have begun vigorous chickpea and maize sowing, taking advantage of the fertile soil.

Heavy rainfall in recent weeks has left the fields of North Karnataka lush and ready for planting. The sudden downpour has enriched the soil, creating ideal conditions for sowing.

Farmers in the districts of Haveri, Gadag and Dharwad have taken advantage of the improved soil quality, initiating chickpea and maize sowing with enthusiasm. The crops are being planted in large numbers across the region.
