The inaugural selection trials for the 2026 edition of the Chhattisgarh Hockey League commenced today in Raipur, drawing players from across the state.
The Chhattisgarh Sports Council has launched the selection trials for the 2026 edition of the state's premier hockey competition, the Chhattisgarh Hockey League (CHL), at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Raipur on Monday.
The trials will run for a week, with players from 12 districts competing in a series of matches and skill tests to earn a spot in the 2026 CHL squad.
Officials say the initiative aims to identify emerging talent and strengthen the league's competitive standard ahead of the 2026 season.
The trials are open to men and women aged 18 to 30, and selected players will be invited to a final training camp in late February.
