At the SING Forum 2026, Chhattisgarh secured foreign direct investment proposals worth Rs 43,250 crore, signalling strong investor confidence in the state's growth potential.
The State Investment Promotion Board (SING) convened its 2026 forum in Chhattisgarh, where officials reported that the state received foreign direct investment (FDI) proposals amounting to Rs 43,250 crore. The proposals span sectors such as manufacturing, renewable energy, infrastructure, and information technology, reflecting the state's diversified economic agenda.
State authorities said the proposals were submitted by a mix of multinational corporations, private equity firms, and sovereign wealth funds. While the exact number of projects was not disclosed, the aggregate value positions Chhattisgarh among the top Indian states in attracting overseas capital this year.
Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel highlighted the role of recent policy reforms, improved logistics, and the availability of skilled labour in drawing investor interest. He urged the government to expedite clearances so that the pledged investments can be converted into operational projects.
Analysts note that converting proposals into actual inflows will depend on the state's ability to address land acquisition, power supply, and regulatory bottlenecks. Nevertheless, the magnitude of the proposals underscores Chhattisgarh's growing appeal as an investment destination.
The SING Forum continues for two more days, with further discussions slated on financing mechanisms, skill development, and export promotion to support the prospective projects.
