During a ceremony, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai announced a state‑wide programme to install separate toilets for girls in every school.
The plan targets over 2,000 schools, aiming to improve hygiene, reduce absenteeism and ensure safety for female students.
Speaking at the launch, the CM highlighted the role of clean sanitation in boosting enrolment and emphasised that the project will be implemented in phases.
Officials expect the initiative to create a safer learning environment and to set a benchmark for other states.
