Chelsea FC has signed Spanish centre-back Chavarria to a five‑year deal, strengthening their defensive options ahead of the Premier League campaign.
On Monday, Chelsea FC announced the signing of Spanish centre‑back Chavarria to a five‑year contract, effective from the start of the 2026‑27 season.
The 23‑year‑old defender, who last played for Spanish side Real Valladolid, brings experience from La Liga and the UEFA Europa League.
Manager Frank Lampard said the club needed additional depth in central defence and praised Chavarria’s aerial ability and composure on the ball.
Chavarria will join the first team during the pre‑season training camp and is expected to make his debut in the opening fixtures of the Premier League.
