Central minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan met Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav to discuss the demolition of tribal families' houses in Kosmi village, Sehore, and sought action against officials responsible.

In the remote village of Kosmi in Sehore district, Madhya Pradesh, several tribal families found their homes razed by local officials, sparking outrage among the community. The demolition, which authorities say was carried out under a land‑use directive, left dozens of people homeless and raised concerns about procedural violations.

Following the incident, Union Minister for Tribal Affairs Shivraj Singh Chauhan travelled to Bhopal and met with the state’s chief minister, Dr. Mohan Yadav. During the discussion, Chauhan pressed for a swift probe into the demolition and urged the state government to hold accountable any officials found negligent or acting beyond their authority.

The chief minister assured the minister that a disciplinary inquiry would be launched immediately and that any officer found culpable would face strict action. Both leaders emphasized the need to protect tribal rights and restore the affected families’ homes, while awaiting a detailed report from the district administration.

The meeting underscores the political sensitivity of tribal welfare issues in Madhya Pradesh and signals a coordinated effort between the centre and the state to address alleged administrative overreach.
