CBI Raids Punjab Over WhatsApp‑Linked Graft Network

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) recently conducted raids in Punjab following the discovery of WhatsApp chats that exposed a corruption network tied to the Chief Minister’s Office. The intercepted messages, which were obtained through legal channels, detailed a web of bribery and illicit transactions involving several officials. During the operation, CBI officers seized laptops, documents and other electronic records that could serve as evidence. Investigators are now reviewing the material and have begun the process of identifying and arresting the individuals implicated in the scheme.
