The chargesheet, filed by the CBI’s Delhi office, alleges that the money was misappropriated in connection with state‑run projects. The probe, which began earlier this year, has now expanded to include a wider range of officials.
Notably, six Indian Administrative Service officers are among those named in the chargesheet, underscoring the reach of the investigation into senior civil servants.
The case remains under trial, with the CBI expected to present further evidence in the coming weeks as part of its ongoing anti‑corruption effort.
