CBI Arrests DGCA Officer and Aviation Firm Director in Rs 2.5 Lakh Bribery Probe

The Central Bureau of Investigation has detained a Directorate General of Civil Aviation official and a director from an aviation firm on charges of accepting a Rs 2.5 lakh bribe.
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested a senior official of the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) and a director of an aviation firm on allegations of accepting a bribe worth Rs 2.5 lakh.
The arrests were part of a probe into corruption within the civil aviation sector. According to CBI statements, the accused officials allegedly received the money to influence regulatory decisions.
Both the DGCA officer and the aviation firm director were taken into custody following a thorough investigation that traced the flow of the bribe money.
CBI officials said that the case will be pursued under the Prevention of Corruption Act and that further action will be taken against any other parties involved.
