Cauvery water supply to be disrupted in South and East Bangalore due to pipeline repairs
Residents of several colonies in south and east Bangalore will face a temporary interruption in Cauvery water supply tomorrow as pipeline repair work proceeds.
The Bangalore water authority has announced that Cauvery water supply will be interrupted tomorrow in a number of colonies located in the city's southern and eastern zones. The disruption is linked to ongoing repair work on the pipeline that feeds the water tank serving these areas.
The repair activity is aimed at fixing faults in the pipeline to ensure reliable water delivery in the future. Authorities have scheduled the work for early morning hours, which will necessitate a temporary halt in water flow until the repairs are completed.
Residents have been advised to store sufficient water for essential use and to avoid non‑essential consumption during the outage. The water supply is expected to resume once the pipeline work is finished, though no exact time has been provided.
The water department has urged the public to cooperate and report any leaks or irregularities that may arise after the supply is restored, to help maintain the integrity of the system.
