Candle March Marks 5th Anniversary of Lakhimpur Kheri Tragedy in Chandigarh

The Lakhimpur Kheri incident, which claimed the lives of farmers and a journalist, is being remembered on its fifth anniversary with a candle march in Chandigarh. The protest is scheduled for this evening, and a delegation will depart from Amritsar to join the march in the capital city of Punjab. Leaders of the Kisan-Mazdoor Morcha have stated that the memory of the martyrs cannot be confined to the anniversary alone, and the struggle will continue until justice is served to the victims’ families. The march is expected to draw a sizable crowd of farmers, activists, and supporters who will carry candles and demand accountability for the incident.
