On September 29, 2025, the Canadian government added the Lawrence Bissnoi gang to its list of terrorist entities, heightening security scrutiny of related names and activities.
The Canadian government officially listed the Lawrence Bissnoi gang as a terrorist organization on 29 September 2025. The designation was announced by the Public Safety Ministry as part of a broader strategy to combat transnational organized crime.
Following the listing, authorities warned that any names, symbols or activities associated with the Bissnoi network will be treated as security‑sensitive. Law‑enforcement agencies are expected to monitor communications, financial transactions and public references linked to the gang more closely.
The move reflects Canada’s intensified focus on dismantling criminal groups that operate across borders and pose a threat to national security. It also aligns with recent international efforts to curb the influence of organized crime syndicates linked to illicit trafficking and violent activities.
