In a unanimous vote, the Indian cabinet adopted a resolution applauding Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s accomplishments as both the country’s PM and Gujarat’s chief minister over the past 25 years.
The Union Cabinet, meeting on Monday, approved a resolution that lauds Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s performance as India’s chief executive and his earlier tenure as Gujarat’s chief minister. The resolution highlights the 25‑year span during which Modi has led both the state and the nation, citing developmental milestones and policy initiatives. It was passed without dissent, reflecting broad support across the cabinet.
The document lists achievements such as economic growth, infrastructure projects, and social welfare schemes that have been credited to Modi’s leadership. It also acknowledges his role in steering Gujarat’s transformation into a business hub before his national tenure.
Cabinet members noted that the resolution serves as a formal recognition of Modi’s long‑term impact on India’s trajectory. The vote was taken in a closed session, and no opposition was recorded.
The resolution is expected to be presented to the President for assent, after which it will be published in the official Gazette.
