Brahmapur Sadar PS Intensifies Crackdown on Illegal Liquor; Three Arrested, Over 25 Litres Seized at Goutami
In a special drive against illegal liquor trade, Brahmapur Sadar Police conducted excise raids at Goutami area on 30.09.2026, seized 25.70 litres of IMFL and OS liquor and arrested three habitual offenders in three separate cases.

- *Seizure:* Total 9.600 litres - (i) Tuborg Beer 06 cans x 500 ml, (ii) Kingfisher Storm Beer 08 bottles x 650 ml, (iii) OS Liquor 20 pouches x 200 ml (Pattapur OS Shop)

- *Arrest:* 30.09.2026 at 03:45 PM and forwarded to Hon'ble Court.

- *Accused:* S. Sankar Reddy (27), S/o S. Sudam Reddy, Vill. Goutami, PS- Brahmapur Sadar, Dist- Ganjam.
- *Seizure:* Total 9.700 litres IMFL - (i) Kingfisher Strong Beer 10 bottles x 650 ml, (ii) Budweiser Beer 02 bottles x 650 ml, (iii) Tuborg Beer 02 cans x 500 ml, (iv) Bacardi Mango Chilli Rum 02 bottles x 180 ml, (v) McDowell's No.1 Whisky 03 bottles x 180 ml

- *Arrest:* 30.09.2026 at 03:30 PM and forwarded to Hon'ble Court.
*3. Brahmapur Sadar PS Case No. 607/2026:*

- *Accused:* Trupti Bhusan Sahu (42), S/o Prabhakar Sahu, Vill. Goutami, PS- Brahmapur Sadar, Dist- Ganjam.
- *Seizure:* 32 pouches of OS Liquor x 200 ml each, total 6.4 litres (marked Pattapur OS Shop, Licensee Barun Ku. Pradhan)
- *Section:* U/S 52(a) Odisha Excise Act, 2008
- *Arrest:* 30.09.2026 at 03:40 PM and forwarded to Hon'ble Court.
*Action Taken:*
All three accused were arrested observing formalities of arrest as laid down by Hon'ble Apex Court and forwarded to Hon'ble Court. The drive against illegal liquor will continue.
