A new book documenting the daily life and traditions of the Tani community was released at RGU, according to The Arunachal Times.
The Arunachal Times reported that a freshly compiled volume on the Tani family's way of life was officially released at RGU. The book brings together oral histories, photographs and scholarly commentary to portray the social fabric of the Tani people, who form a significant part of Arunachal Pradesh's cultural mosaic.
Organisers of the launch highlighted the work's role in preserving indigenous knowledge and fostering greater awareness among younger generations. Academics and community elders attended the ceremony, emphasizing the importance of documenting traditions that are at risk of fading.
The publication is expected to serve as a reference for researchers, students and anyone interested in the diverse tribal heritage of the Northeast. Copies will be made available through regional libraries and educational institutions.
The event underscores a broader push to promote regional literature and cultural studies within academic circles, aligning with ongoing efforts to strengthen the representation of tribal narratives in mainstream discourse.
