Email bomb threats targeting multiple schools in Delhi have led authorities to conduct security inspections across the affected institutions.
Delhi police received email messages alleging the presence of explosive devices in a number of schools across the capital. The alerts, which arrived in the past 24 hours, prompted immediate alerts to school administrations and parents.
The police, in coordination with the Delhi education department and bomb disposal units, have begun systematic security checks at each identified school. Teams are scanning premises, inspecting mailrooms and verifying the authenticity of the threats.
Classes have been temporarily suspended at the affected institutions while the sweeps continue, and parents have been advised to keep children at home until clearance is given. Officials said no suspicious material has been found so far, but the investigation remains ongoing.
The department has urged anyone receiving similar communications to forward them to the authorities without delay, emphasizing that such threats are taken seriously and will be investigated under the Explosive Substances Act.
