A bomb threat on an IndiGo flight from Chennai to Goa led to the evacuation of passengers and a five‑hour postponement before the aircraft finally departed.
Security officials at Chennai airport received a bomb threat targeting an IndiGo flight scheduled for the Chennai‑Goa sector. The aircraft was held on the tarmac while authorities assessed the warning.
All passengers were instructed to disembark and undergo a thorough security sweep of the cabin and luggage. The precautionary measures extended the departure time by roughly five hours.
After clearance from the bomb‑disposal unit and a complete safety check, the flight was cleared to take off. No explosives were found and the airline resumed normal operations once the aircraft left the runway.
