Industry sources report that several prominent Bollywood heroines are refusing roles in Telugu movies, citing professional priorities and scheduling constraints.
Several leading Bollywood actresses have reportedly turned down recent offers to work in Telugu cinema, according to sources familiar with the negotiations. The refusals are said to stem from a combination of tight filming schedules in Hindi projects and a strategic focus on maintaining their presence in the Bollywood market.
Industry insiders note that the trend reflects a broader shift, with Hindi‑film talent increasingly prioritising projects that align with their brand image and language audience. While Telugu producers continue to seek pan‑Indian stars to broaden their reach, the current set of negotiations has not resulted in any confirmed casting.
The situation underscores the competitive dynamics between the two film industries, where cross‑regional collaborations are common but depend heavily on individual career plans and market considerations.
