Protesters from the BJP’s Tiranga March arrived at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar on Saturday, leading to the detention of several participants and causing traffic snarls in the area.
On Saturday, a contingent of the Bharatiya Janata Party’s Tiranga March reached the historic Jantar Mantar in Delhi, marking a key point in the party’s nationwide rally. The gathering drew attention as participants unfurled the national flag and chanted slogans supporting the party’s agenda.
Law enforcement officials responded by detaining multiple demonstrators who were identified as violating public order provisions. The police said the arrests were made to prevent any escalation and to maintain peace in the sensitive area.
The presence of the march and the subsequent police action caused significant disruption to vehicular movement around Jantar Mantar. Several roads were temporarily closed, and traffic was rerouted, leading to delays for commuters in central Delhi.
Authorities continued to monitor the situation throughout the day, urging citizens to avoid the vicinity and cooperate with traffic diversions. No reports of injuries or major clashes were recorded during the event.
