BJP leader Keya Ghosh publicly rebuked actor Naseeruddin Shah for his remarks against the West Bengal government concerning the SRFTI controversy.
Keya Ghosh, a senior member of the Bharatiya Janata Party, issued a sharp condemnation of veteran actor Naseeruddin Shah’s recent comments targeting the West Bengal government. Ghosh said Shah’s statements on the SRFTI (Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute) dispute were unfounded and aimed at politicising a cultural institution.
The actor had earlier questioned the state’s handling of the SRFTI issue, alleging interference and lack of autonomy. Ghosh countered that such criticism undermines the government's efforts to resolve administrative challenges and disrespects the legacy of the institute.
