On Saturday, the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party organised a street march in Patna, chanting slogans and accusing the Congress of disrespecting women, while demanding an apology from Rahul Gandhi.
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), which governs Bihar, staged a public demonstration on a major road in Patna on Saturday. Party leaders and workers gathered in large numbers, raising flags and chanting party slogans throughout the protest.
The rally focused on the theme of women’s honor, with participants alleging that the opposition Congress had insulted the dignity of women. Organisers positioned themselves around a Congress office in the city, creating a visible encirclement that underscored their grievance.
During the march, BJP activists called for an immediate apology from senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, accusing him of remarks that they said demeaned women. The demand was reiterated repeatedly as part of what the party termed the “Aakrosh March.”
