BJP slams AAP’s Punjab governance, brands Kejriwal’s model a ‘flop show’

A senior spokesperson of the Bharatiya Janata Party publicly attacked the Aam Aadmi Party’s record in Punjab, labeling Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s governance approach a “flop show”. The remarks were made during a party rally in the state, where BJP leaders sought to highlight perceived shortcomings in public service delivery and law‑and‑order management under the AAP administration.

AAP has been in power in Punjab since the 2022 state elections, when it formed the government with Kejriwal’s model of “development‑first” policies. The BJP’s criticism focuses on issues such as water scarcity, agricultural distress and perceived delays in infrastructure projects, which the party claims have not improved under the current regime.

The comments come as both parties gear up for the next general election cycle, with the BJP aiming to consolidate its base in northern India and the AAP seeking to expand its footprint beyond Delhi and Punjab. No official response from the AAP was recorded at the time of reporting.
