The Bharatiya Janata Party has publicly questioned the involvement of senior Congress leader Rohit Pawar in the recent protests against the Maharashtra Public Service Commission.
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Maharashtra has raised concerns about the participation of Congress leader Rohit Pawar in the recent demonstrations targeting the Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC). Party officials said the protests, which turned contentious in several districts, required clarification on any political backing.
The MPSC protests erupted after the commission announced a set of policy changes that were perceived by some aspirants and employee groups as unfavorable. Demonstrators gathered outside MPSC offices in multiple locations, demanding a review of the new guidelines.
While the BJP has called for an explanation, Rohit Pawar has not yet issued a public comment on the allegations. Political analysts note that the issue could intensify the rivalry between the BJP and the Congress ahead of upcoming state elections.
