The BJP criticised the INDIA alliance’s recent rally, questioning the reported turnout and Rahul Gandhi’s claim that 10 lakh people attended.
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) publicly mocked the turnout figures claimed by the INDIA bloc after a recent rally, saying the numbers appeared exaggerated. Party leaders highlighted the disparity between the reported crowd size and what they described as a modest on‑ground presence.
In the same breath, the BJP challenged Rahul Gandhi’s assertion that ten lakh (one million) supporters gathered for the event, labeling the claim as unverified and politically motivated. The party demanded concrete evidence to substantiate the figure.
Political analysts note that the exchange underscores the intensifying contest between the two alliances ahead of upcoming elections, with each side seeking to portray the other as out of touch with ground realities.
