The Bharatiya Janata Party’s internal friction became visible on the stage of a "Seva Sankalp" (service pledge) event held in Chanchoda, a town in Madhya Pradesh. According to eyewitnesses, the disagreement escalated when the district president and the district panchayat chairman, both prominent figures in the state party hierarchy, objected to the placement of their supporters on the stage.
