A senior member of the Bharatiya Janata Party died after receiving an electric shock while handling a street divider pole in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. The incident occurred on a public road where the leader reportedly touched the pole, which was live, leading to fatal injuries.
Emergency services were called to the scene promptly. Paramedics attempted resuscitation, but the victim was pronounced dead at the site. A woman who was with the leader at the time also sustained injuries from the shock and was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
