The Bharatiya Janata Party has begun holding booth-level gatherings across Amritsar as it gears up for the 2027 state assembly elections.
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has started organising booth‑level meetings in Amritsar, marking the first phase of its grassroots outreach for the 2027 Punjab assembly polls. Party workers are visiting individual polling booths to interact with voters, assess local issues and mobilise support ahead of the upcoming contest.
Local BJP officials said the initiative aims to strengthen the party’s presence at the neighbourhood level and to build a detailed voter database before the election campaign intensifies. The meetings are being coordinated by district‑level coordinators who are tasked with ensuring uniform coverage across all constituencies in the city.
The booth‑level drive comes as the election schedule for 2027 is being finalised, with the poll expected to be held in early 2027. While the party has not released a formal statement on the strategy, the early mobilisation signals its intent to consolidate its base in Punjab’s second‑largest city.
