BJP Files Nominations of 8 Candidates for UP Rajya Sabha Election After Major Shake‑Up

The Bharatiya Janata Party has filed nomination papers for eight candidates for the upcoming Rajya Sabha elections in Uttar Pradesh. The move comes after a major shake‑up that saw several senior leaders replaced or reassigned within the party. While the party has not publicly disclosed the names of the candidates, the nominations are expected to strengthen BJP’s position in the upper house. The filing marks a key step in the party’s strategy to secure more seats in the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha from the nation’s most populous state.
