Negotiations between the Bharatiya Janata Party and TIPRA Motha on a seat‑sharing arrangement for the upcoming Tripura Legislative Assembly election have ended without a consensus.
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the regional outfit TIPRA Motha have been holding discussions aimed at dividing contesting seats for the forthcoming Tripura Legislative Assembly election. Sources close to the talks said that despite multiple rounds of negotiation, the two sides could not bridge differences on candidate allocation and constituency priorities. As a result, the talks concluded without a mutually acceptable agreement, leaving the seat‑sharing issue unresolved.
