BITS Pilani Names Prof Mohan Krishnamoorthy as Director of Amaravati Campus

BITS Pilani announced the appointment of Prof Mohan Krishnamoorthy as the director of its Amaravati campus on Tuesday. The appointment comes as the institute prepares to launch its first campus outside Rajasthan, aiming to offer engineering and technology programmes to students in the capital region. Prof Krishnamoorthy, who has previously served in senior academic roles at several Indian universities, will oversee the campus’s academic and administrative operations. The new campus is expected to open its doors in the coming academic year, providing students with access to BITS Pilani’s reputed curriculum and research facilities. The decision reflects BITS Pilani’s strategy to expand its footprint across India and strengthen its ties with the government of Andhra Pradesh.
